These Elves are all from the same box with the archers except from one figure who comes from the Adventurer's set, the not Tauriel with two knives (first on the left).
This could work as a guard unit or as linebreakers.
And these are the three units of Elves I painted from the box. There are still enough miniatures for another unit as there are 35 in the box, but I'm done with Elves at the moment.
Once again very nice Javier!
ReplyDeleteIs that standard hand painted?
Thanks Ben. The standard is a decal from GW's Epic Space Marine. I think that a hand-painted standard would have been much better but I felt lazy :)
DeleteI thought it looked familiar 😁
DeleteGreat work on these and your other fantasy figures!
ReplyDeleteThank you Chris. I'm totally hyped now with this scale :)
ReplyDeleteGreat work on your elf force; also great is the freehand drawing on the standard. We can't wait to see these warriors in the field (or in the woods) ...
ReplyDeleteWe noticed that Tauriel's alter ego is again half naked compared to males, and probably, as you said, the elven warriors are bere affected by the stereotypical iconography of female characters in many fantasy illustrations.
If we have seen correctly, the standard bearer is completely unarmed, apart from the flagpole. He will have to blindly trust the protection of his fellow soldiers, but you know, the elves have strange logics ...
Thank you Rodor. The standard is a decal with some paint on :) Cheers,
