Escape the city

So my buddy took the riggers and me the gangers. He has a war rig (the drakkar of the wasteland!) and 60 cans and has to exit the rig on the opposite side whereas I have 120 cans of gangers to try to stop him.

I built three teams with two Miyazaki, two Mishkin and two Warden of 40 cans each, armed with big guns to destroy the war rig easily, like arc lighting projectors (6D6) and rockets (6D6) as well miniguns (4D6).

In the first picture you can see the end of turn 1. The war rig turned to its right to avoid the obstacles I was allowed to deploy before the game started.
The green and yellow cars at the bottom are both Mishkin armed with arc lightning projectors; the white ones are Miyazaki with miniguns and the black ones Warden with rams and a pickup with rockets.

As the rig turned to its right I had to turn left to catch up with it. Look the Warden pickup at the bottom left making a hard turn...

... and now look how a rigger monster truck with ram and nitro fully rammed it on its flank! The pickup was nearly destroyed and finally exploded when it collided against an obstacle when flipped, causing some more damage to my performance Miyazaki in the process. Doh!

Both Mishkin fired their arc lightning projectors but failed miserably most of the attacks, and then they had to wait to reach gear four to be able to reload them.

They could not fire a second time and the pickup with rockets was out of the game and Miyazakis too far to make any impact. So the rigger finally reached the border and managed to escape with more than half of its hull points intact.

That was a poor performance of me overall, as well as horrible die rolling during all the game.
Next time punks!

Gaslands: time extended

Getting ready for a War Rig Campaign.

Miyazaki team

I finally painted a performance car and I did it to match it with my "Zero buggy". It is a Lamborghini huracán. I wanted to keep it as much aerodynamic as possible so I only added a small weapon on the roof that came from the ram of a GW's Battlefleet Gothic Lunar Cruiser.

The red dragon is a GW's fantasy decal from 1982 and I think it fits perfectly.

On the other side I used the last red dot I had.

And here two snap shots of their first performance. It took the first position thanks to the perk power slide.

So I was doing it all right with both cars. the Lamborghini crossing the bridge and the buggy taking the other way. But in the end the Lamborghini went through the second gate flipping and ended exiting the game board; and the buggy scored four skids at high speed and crashed against the other side of the bridge and resulted destroyed, so a terrible performance in their first apparition.

Buggy buggy

I have painted two buggies. Daylight was poor but I could not wait to take pictures and share them. They look much better in the flesh, I swear.

Thirrrd.

This is my third car and very similar to the previous one.

I used Crimson Fists decals on the car and White Scars on the yellow one as I'm recycling my old Space Marine decals but I think they look good on them. Somebody told me to call this car Hydra!

Not much conversion on this one, just mesh on the wheels and an oil can at the back.

I will probably add a driver and a passenger later on.

I think these two are going to be from the same team or sponsor.

Gaslands second car

Well, this time I was more moderated in the use of pigments and I think the car turned out subtler and much better than the first ones. I still have to improve but I'm happy with the yellow on this car.

Gaslands first cars.

Well, here is another one who falls into Gaslands.
I have to say there was a long time since I had so much fun with it. You had to see the Toys R' Us shop assistant's face when she saw a 52 yo man on his knees on the floor checking every single car in the store. Oh, how much I enjoyed going to a toy shop to hunt down and buy some goodies!

That was the first part of fun. The second one was scavenging from my bits box and tuning the cars. It was very creative and stimulating. Then it came painting, though here things were a bit sour because I totally spoilt the cars when experimenting with pigments.

Anyway, I am happy with my first cars, and tomorrow I will play my first game with them!

By the way, I gave them names: Colt, Croc and Kaiser; and I think it is pretty obvious which is which. Don't you think? Could you guess them? ;-)
