I keep finishing all the mechs from the box. This time is's mechs from the clans, possibly Jade Falcon.
Following the same idea I did with the Nordland Highlanders painted with WWII British colours, I'm painting the Jade Falcons with WWII German panzer colours and I think they turned out nicely.
I'm afraid this time I went a bit too heavy with the OSL.
This is a Blackjack from the Highlanders! I thought it was a Clan mech and not it's too late :(
Pouncer
Fire Moth

OSL experiment with the heat vents of the mechs.

Great work Javier.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Highlander was captured at Dunkirk and repurposed by the Germans 😁
Thank you Ben. It would have been amazing to see a Blackjack pounding WWII tanks :D
DeleteThey look great, and that Blackjack is obviously a Blackjack C, not a standard Inner Sphere Blackjack BJ-2 :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, they would be from the Clan invasion then. I had to search the info for that, LOL! Cheers Ruaridh :)
DeleteJust been looking back at your 1/72nd stuff...excellent.in fact, all of your painting is excellent.
ReplyDeleteThank you Paul, you're too kind! :) Painting 1/72 has a special feeling that I don't have with any other scales. I have it stopped at the moment but I still have some stuff to do and I will do it eventually. Cheers!
DeleteKeep up the good work! I'm not as familiar with these ones as some of your last mechs, they look great. Nice camo effect, although I'm doubtful how useful it is on massive walking machines of destruction ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Alan! Well, as I painted the first ones as WWII Brits, I decided to paint their opponents as WWII Germans. That's was the main reason but also because they look cool and as everybody knows, coolness is the best armour ;-)
