I have just painted these 3D Marauders for TOW and there are five more to go. I love them and I am very happy with how they turned out.

This blog is to share my main hobby which is painting and wargaming with miniatures. I paint and play historics, fantasy and sci-fi, from 6 mm to 28 mm.
Wow! Those are really nice! I really like all of them, but especially the first guy. I can hear the Conan the Barbarian music in the background of the last picture! What is TOW? I assume its a rule set?
ReplyDeleteThank you Chris! I love these miniatures and especially their horses. TOW is The Old World, latest edition of Warhammer :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know there was a latest edition of Warhammer. All I ever see is things about 40K.
ReplyDeleteWell, there have been a lot of talk and tease about it for the last two years until it finally came out about two months ago and since then everybody is hyped and playing and rescuing old Warhammer armies or printing new ones. Just get in the GW shop page or Google the old world my friend :)
DeleteHi Javier, very nice figs and excellent painting as always! Just a few words to tell you that I have been in Lanzarote this week, and in Tenerife last week, but my holidays come to an end (back to France on tomorrow morning) and I won't be visiting Gran Canaria -maybe another time? I love everything I have seen in this archipelago, absolutely wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHi Phil, Lanzarote and Tenerife are less populated than Gran Canaria and I would say they are prettier than Gran Canaria, although we have very interesting and pleasant places to visit as well. It would be great if you pay us a visit again, and I recommend you to visit La Palma and El Hierro as they are the two most unspoilt and green islands from the archipielago. If you ever come to Gran Canaria I'll have you a game of Warhammer or any other. Cheers!
DeleteA bit late comment, but these marauders are very cool, both for the variety of equipment and clothing, and for the dynamic poses. We agree, your paintjob turned out really well. Which manufacturer are they?
ReplyDeleteIt has always surprised us that the marauders of cold Norsca are divided between the heavily dressed ones next to the bare-chested ones: could it be a difference due to the amount of alcohol in the body?! ;)
LOL, alcohol is the cause of everything, especially in the cold North. Thank you for you kind words Rodor. The figures are from Asgard Rising and I swapped their shields for GW's ones. Cheers,
ReplyDeleteThey look fantastic! Some of them look a bit like a Frazetta painting come to life. I like the details like the braided makes on the horses. It's unusual to see texture sculpted into the horse's coat but it looks really good, like a breed you'd expect to do find in the frozen north
ReplyDeleteThanks Alan! You're right, some of them have a certain resemblance to Frazzetta's pictures and that's why I like them. There are five more on the way which I'm posting in a few days, as soon as I finish them. You're right, it's unusual to find hair sculpted on horses and I love it. If you google norse or viking horses you'll see pics of that kind of horse and I think they're great from people from the North. Cheers,
