Being plastic and all that I decided to fast paint ten of them in one go, with few colours, dipping and just one light. They turned out okay but I am not very happy with the result.

This blog is to share my main hobby which is painting and wargaming with miniatures. I paint and play historics, fantasy and sci-fi, from 6 mm to 28 mm.
Nice work. I have a sprue of these todo something with. I will perhaps get more motivated when 7TV Fantasy gets nearer.
ReplyDeleteThanks Simon. I'm also waiting for something to get me motivated; perhaps Outhmark.
DeleteIMHO, having looked at these barbarians in my photo editor, the outcome of your painting technique is very well done! And the basing is excellent!
ReplyDeleteYes, I think basing is better than painting in this case. And the miniatures are not very good IMHO so they don't help.
DeleteNice. I think a bit of additional highlighting would really pick them up, if you aren't happy with them
ReplyDeleteOf course you're right but then there wouldn't be fast painting ;-)
DeleteI just can't make such effort on cheap plastic miniatures :)
Look damn good to me sir!
ReplyDeleteYou're too kind my friend, cheers! :)
DeleteI would say that those have turned out far better than 'OK'! The green and red are nice colour choices, they suit the models well and make for a nice unit.
ReplyDeleteThanks Alan. I guess what I really wanted to say is that I like them better. I think I repeated red and green too much.
DeleteHmmm... I didn't comment on them yet?
ReplyDeleteI think they turned out just fine. They do maybe not fit your high usual standards, but they look like filthy barbarians. Wasn't that the goal?
Filthy huh? LOL! :D
ReplyDeleteBeautifully filthy?
Delete:P
DeleteThese look pretty excellent to me! The color scheme reminds me a bit of Gaul in Rome Total War. What paints did you use on them?
ReplyDeleteVallejo. Don't know their names as they are old pots and the labels have gone off, sorry. Cheers.
