Years ago, and after much thinking, I decided to get rid off all my 15 mm stuff and stick with 28 mm. But now I had to pack all my stuff and put it in a safer place, so I do not have neither miniatures nor terrain to play with.
While packing things up I found a surviving blister of 15 mm. sci-fi monkeys from Highlander Studio, and then I started to think about painting them and get some more for small, easy to store and portable skirmishes.
Well, the result is below, and right now I am looking at Khurasan, Rebel and GZG shop.

Great looking paint jobs! I too got rid of a lot of my 15mm sci-fi minis in order to stick with 28mm, but now I am considering getting back into 15mm myself.
ReplyDeleteYes,15mm has many advantages. I guess we're all end up in the end with both 15 and 28 mm ;-)
DeleteCheers,
for me it goes like this 1870 to Sci-fi 15mm ancient to 1800 25s, in short if you have rifled weaponry go smaller....)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely agree with you. Actually even smaller scales like 10 and 6 mm give a better feeling of distances.
DeleteCheers,
Good choice! I still feel the same, even after having come like 20 times to the decision, that with my limited time and space available 15mm is the only way I can ever get to finish something and maybe even play with it!
ReplyDeleteExactly!
DeleteI feel kind of bad now. I remember taking some of those 15s off you hands a few years back. I was going from 28 to 15 and you the opposite. Well I'm also dabbling in 28s too but 15s remain the true scale (if I can get away with doing a new project or game in 15 I will
ReplyDeleteCheck my blog and you might see some of those old minis of yours!
Still loving your blog. Jumps on to the 15mm SCI fi and fantasy groups. The former is pretty active.
I've seen my old Greys in your blog; they are in good hands.
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me the name of the sci-fi group?
Cheers,
Sure, search on FB for "15mm Sci-Fi Gaming"
DeleteFor fantasy, should you start dabbling in that too (15mm Frostgrave?) - "15mm Fantasy Gaming" - a bit quieter than the Sci Fi counterpart.
I found it Jim, thanks!
DeleteNow waiting to be accepted :)
