Remember Tygra from Frazetta? Well, here you have one of his main characters. As soon as I saw it I knew I need it to live, and last weekend I finally painted it.
Not sure why, but I decided to drybrush the whole miniature like when I started painting years ago; maybe because the "oldschool" vibe in it.
Nevertheless, the figure is so dynamic and classic at the same time, that it shines even with a standard painting, and now I'm the happy owner of a well-known berserk or barbarian who will fight many fantastic as well as historical battles.

Nailed it!
ReplyDeleteGreat painting
I tried to give him an evil gaze. Thank you Steve!
DeleteThat's a great sculpt, and you've given it a fine paint job.
ReplyDeleteYes, David did a fantastic work wit it.
DeleteCheers,
What a cool pose! I think he would make a great warlord for a Saga Viking army.
ReplyDeleteI see him perfect as an Ulfedhnar to fight alongside with those from Foundry.
DeleteCheers,
NICE work!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteHe looks great! I think the dry brushing captured the feel of the artwork just perfectly. Well done!
ReplyDeleteActually, he looks better in the flesh as the picture is too close :)
DeleteCheers Scott!
