Principes for WAB

A unit of 15 principes. They are 15 mm. Cromarty models upscaled to 28 mm. Next will be a few Triarii.

On the left there is a 15 mm base for DBA.

It seems the 28 mm models look better than the 15 mm.

Carrier Command just released!

Carrier Command is the new supplement I wrote with John Cunningham to play with Fighter Command, and where you can be in command of a Capship instead of a space fighter.

There are also new types of weapons and ships as well as electronic warfare, much detailed rules for capships and two campaigns; one narrative with fifteen encounters, and another generic that can be played over and over and which includes eight generic encounters.

You can buy it in Two Hour Wargames and I hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

From the THW site:

5150: Carrier Command

The "Big Ship" supplement for 5150: Fighter Command

What: Sci Fi Space Combat Game with "Big Ships".

Scale: 1 model equals 1 Capital Ship or Fighter/Bomber.

Your Role: Players command a Capital Ship.

Playability: Designed for solo, same side and head to head play.

5150: Carrier Command can be played in a variety of ways:

• You can play as the Commander of a Star Carrier with flights of Fighters/Bombers.
• You can play as the Commander of one Capital Ship chosen from over a dozen types and a variety of Races.
• You can play one-off battles.
• You can play the full campaign with up to fifteen scenarios.

The bottom line is you can play it any way you like, with any models or counters you like.

Inside you’ll find:

• Detailed yet simple rules for CapShip combat with stats and counters for a variety of Races and types.
• Fifteen scenarios linked together in order to tell your story as the Commander of the Star Carrier Daedalus.
• Fully compatible with 5150: Fighter Command, our Fighter based space combat game.
• A minimal bookkeeping Campaign System that gives meaning to every game as the results of one will affect the outcome of the next.

5150: Carrier Command - the next chapter in our Space Combat Story.

5150 FC Star Carrier

I bought this carrier from Hobby Link Japan to be my fleet's flagship for  playing 5150 Fighter Command. I am planning a full campaign using this carrier as my personal ship. It is 24 cm. long approximately.

The carrier next to a Silent Death plastic fighter for size comparison.

Here you can see the deck with fighters on it. There is another deck below that for landing fighters.

These three ships plus P&P from Japan for 13 €. Bargain!

By the way, I am sorry to say that I cannot answer to any comments on my blog, nor I can publish on someone else's blog so far because for some mysterious reason my messages disappear when I hit the publish buttom. I hope the problem gets fixed soon :(

Review of 5150 Fighter Command

5150 Fighter Command is the first ruleset I write for Two Hour Wargames. What I tried to do with this ruleset is giving you the chance to fly a star fighter just like you did in the PC game Wing Commander. In case you never played that game, just imagine how it would be flying a Star Wars X-wing or Interceptor and you will have a very close view of Fighter Commander.

Here you have two fine reviews of Fighter Commander. One by the WARGAMING ADDICT  and another by  DELTA VECTOR
Many thanks to both of them!

Hishen reinforcements

I ordered three ships from the Yamato/Star Blazers serie to Hobby Link Japan for just 13 € including P&P! They have an excellent customer service and packaging and I recommend them.
Well, here you have the two small ones of 12-13 cm. long, but the big one, a carrier, is 25 cm. long. I will paint it next and post a picture of two next to these babies.
I painted these two ships with the Hishen colours as I did not have any Hishen Capship. They will soon participate on a new campaign I am designing and which be released as a future supplement for 5150 Fighter Commander.

Reinforcements for Fighter Command.

I just finished the last batch of plastic Silent Death fighters that I am using for 5150 Fighter Commander. After this I will start with some capital ships I ordered to Hobby Link Japan.
Soon I will start a new campaign with all these ships.
