SPACE HULK 1991!

I have dusted off my old Space Hulk to play it with my son During Easter. So far we have played the first five missions and he is loving it!

Who would have guessed back in 1.991 when I bought it, that I will be playing it with my son 25 years later? Just the thought of it is so awesome!

Playing third mission...to the rescue!

Nothing like the old art from those days...

  1. Yeah, it's still a great game. I don't have the full game, just a whole bunch of the floor tiles & doors. I play wargames with my young son using these bits and he loves it too. It's a bit like deja vu isn't it? Wargaming with someone who used to be your age, doing the same thing :)

    1. Yeah, it's like I'm still 20 years old!
I think that's one of the reasons I love playing old Gw "specialists" games, because they bring me back to those sweet years of youth :)

  2. I played that version a lot in the early 90s. it is a really great game. I still regret never buying a copy (a friend owned it) :-( i sometimes imagine playing it with my children but we play Warhammer Quest instead. I am jealous!

    1. Warhammer Quest is great as well. Anyway, you can still buy Space Hulk 3rd edition in some shops and maybe in Ebay. In my local shop for example there is still one copy of the 3rd edition and I'm considering to buy it for my son.

XD

  6. Absolutely enjoying it my friend :)
Once we finished we're trying something different, Zombicide Black Plague. I'm slowly converting my son into the dark side.

  7. Yeah, it's really surprising how many of these games survived the years intact. Almost as surprising as how much fun they still are. We played this game to death back in the day and burned out on it, but after 20 years (and seeing it through the eyes of your child) really re-energizes the fun. Does your son prefer the Marines or the bugs?

  8. As all kids, he sees space marines as super heroes, but so far he feels more comfortable commanding genestealers as they are easier to play.
