Two units of Roman cavalry for Warmaster Ancients though based for DBX (4x3 cm.). After basing them I realised that I should ahve painted their shields in blue or green instead of red, as it is too much red when next to my legionaires. But anyway, they are finally painted and based, and now I'm finishing the light allied cavalry and generals. Expect a battle report next weekend :)

Nice work Javier.
ReplyDeleteCheers Pat :)
DeleteThey look really nice perhaps add an additional colour to the shield rims?
ReplyDeleteYes but they're done and I don't look back as there are many many figures to paint :)
DeleteCheers,
Very good old chap!
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you paint the shield of each unit with a different colour?
It will help you to difference them
Because I'm such a lazy bastard :)
ReplyDeleteThe troops look great, Sir. Red is a nice color, and if you are happy with the eyestrain you'll give your opponents (a clever attack strategy)...so am I!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, everybody knows red troops move faster! ;-)
DeleteDefinitely great looking miniatures and I understand about not wanting to go back and redo.....:)
ReplyDeleteThank you Graham. Yes, right now I'm finishing the Roman generals instead of retouching the Roman cav :)
