San Holo, space smuggler

In a Laserburn / Rogue Trader nostalgic mood I grabbed this miniature I had around from long ago and painted it. I like how it turned out, and I must say it looks better in the flesh than in these crappy pictures.

I am thinking of painting some more miniatures similar to this one and make a band of adventurers for my skirmishes. Do you know of any modern sculpted miniatures with Old School flavour that can be used for Laserburn or RT games?

  1. Looks good, sir! I too have been shopping for rag tag adventurers for some Rogue Trader/ Inquisitor use. Reaper Chronoscope and Heresy Miniatures had some fun figures - plenty of smuggler/ ship crew types at Heresy.

  3. Moonraker Miniatures have re-released this older style figure line. They are possibly closer to 28mm than 25mm but worth a look. http://moonrakerminiatures.com/index.html

    1. I prefer 28 to 25mm. As I see, Moonraker has the same as Forlorn Hope or EM4. I already have most of those old Copplestone's miniatures. Actually, the next one to get painted is one of them.

    1. Yes! I've already found it out last night with Google, but I cannot see pics of the miniatures in their shop. I cannot understand how is possible to sell stuff without pictures...

  5. If you click on the grey boxes the pictures load up, although some of the packs don't have any photos. The mercenaries would be very good as imperial troopers or black guard. The heavy armour spacesuits figures would also make excellent Laserburn power armoured troops. Check out the merchants, rebels and characters too.

Looking forward to more retro painting soon.

    Cheers

  7. Nice. In a similar bout of nostalgia I recently picked up some Wargames Foundry sci fi ganger types. Worth a look for some fun themed crews...
